Custom thumbnails for unknown formats in Gnome

I just found out something cool today about file thumbnails in Linux. They of course follow a standard! It is defined by freedesktop and it bears the self-descriptive name Thumbnail Managing Standard. It establishes paths for thumbnails, thumbnail creation definitions and so on.
